This year we are asking all applicants to submit their applications and manuscript samples both by regular mail, as described on this page, AND online via the link below. Please do both. Please note, you must send your application fee with your regular-mail application; we are unable at present to process online payments. Please make sure that the manuscript sample you submit online is IDENTICAL to the one you send by mail. Before applying, please read the conference waiver.

Middle Grade, Easy Reader and Early Chapter Book Authors:
The first 5 pages of your manuscript, double-spaced
(an additional one-page plot synopsis is optional)

Young Adult Authors:
The first 5 pages of your manuscript, double-spaced
(an additional one-page plot synopsis is optional)

Picture Book Authors:
A complete manuscript, double-spaced

Illustrators:
5 illustration samples, with or without a picture book dummy
Do NOT send original art.
We cannot return and are not responsible for any materials submitted

For all categories, please add a cover letter that tells us a little about yourself and your professional writing or illustrating career. Please include in this letter a 3-5 sentence summary of your submission.

A check for the conference fee ($225.00) must accompany your application
and will be returned if you are not accepted.

There will be a $30 fee for any checks returned to us for insufficient funds.
